East Tennessee State University Scholarship:ETSU offers the International Students Academic Merit Scholarship for new international students seeking a graduate or undergraduate degree.

East Tennessee State University Scholarship Funding / Value

The Education/schship. value/academic year is $12,500 for Undergrad. scholars and Masters level students up to $5000 and Doctoral students up to $9,000.

ETSU International Students Academic Merit Scholarship

The International Students Academic Merit Scholarship is available to eligible new international students seeking a graduate or undergraduate degree.

Make admission application to ETSU undergraduate admissions
Get an F-1 or J-1 student visa (F-1 Visa information, J-1 Visa information).
Provide a demonstrated record of academic achievement.

East Tennessee State University Scholarship Requirements

All aspirants who meet the following criteria will be considered for the scholarship:

Minimal 3.0 high school GPA on the US 4.0 scale (freshman aspirants)
Minimal 3.0 undergrad. GPA on the US 4.0 scale (undergrad. transfer applicants and graduate applicants)
Award notification will be sent across to all the aspirants that applied for the scholarship, through their admission letter.
There must be completion and submission of scholarship acceptance form by Scholars who wish to accept the scholarship in a period of three weeks from the date on the admissions letter.

East Tennessee State University Award Terms and Conditions:

Undergrad scholars must have up to 8 (Eight) semesters given that the minimal eligibility requirements are kept.

Graduate scholars must have 5 (Five) semesters for recipients looking forward to a master’s degree, or commensurate with the length of the program.

Scholarship may not be combined with other scholarships that cover tuition costs (Creative Arts, Honors in Discipline, Grad Assistantship, Graduate Tuition Scholarship, Government funding, Fulbright grants, etc. Scholarship cannot be used when students are paying in-state, or Erate tuition.

Students Ineligible for the Merit Scholarship:

Second Bachelor’s degree applicants, if previous Bachelor’s degree was granted by ETSU.
Graduate students receiving a graduate assistantship or tuition scholarship
Scholars getting any other ETSU tuition scholarship
Scholars paying in-state or Erate tuition.
Scholars applying for the M.D. and PharmD programs
Scholars who are not in lawful F-1 or J-1 status

ETSU International Student Scholarship Application Process

Make completion of the online application form for admission and submit the $35 application fee.
Send all transcripts and/or mark sheets from all academic institutions attended. Mail to:
