Project Management for Virtual Assistant (VAs): Project management is a way of working toward a certain objective while setting in place mumerous factors that can affect it. Factors like money(Finance), time, quality, and people(involved/not involved). It relates to planning action points, and the fulfilment of those actions, all to accomplish a specific outcome.

There are basic things you need to know and put into consideration when managing a project; Some of the valuable basics of a project includes:

  • Responsible
  • Accountable
  • Consulted
  • Informed

Project Examples

A project can be anything, big or small. They can be completed by 1 person or many, many people working in coordination. As with most VA tasks, it’s very important to define what the goal of a project is and what it includes.

If you and your client prefer managing a project in collaborative spreadsheets then Google Sheets is your best friend. It’s free and can be updated in real-time by all the parties involved. We have a simple template that we will explore on the next page.

As with everything, there are pros and cons to each project planning tool. Our personal favourite is Google Sheets.
