SFU Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarship Eligibility
If you’re a current high school student who demonstrates excellence in academic and extracurricular activities, you may be eligible for this scholarship.
It is available to both domestic and international students admitted for the fall term to any undergraduate degree.
SFU Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarship Admission Requirement
Eligibility for these scholarships is based on a minimum admission evaluation score of 90% or 31 IB points (excluding predicted bonus points).
Value: From $10,000 up to an amount sufficient to cover tuition and mandatory supplementary fees
Further funding, in the form of a living allowance, may be offered to support exceptionally talented students with demonstrated financial need
In addition to the funding, the program includes supports, such as:
- welcome sessions
- dedicated academic advising
- mentorship
How to Apply for SFU Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarship
SFU Entrance Scholarship Application
You must apply to SFU through Education Planner BC before applying to the entrance scholarship competition.
Beedie School of Business and Sustainable Energy Engineering Applicants: Your complete and eligible entrance scholarship application will be used in lieu of the Supplemental Application for admission to your program. Complete and eligible entrance scholarship applications will be reviewed by the respective schools for your admission as well as the scholarship.

Scholarships: Recognizing outstanding academic achievement.
Awards: Generally acknowledging outstanding achievements or contributions to the community.
Bursaries: Awarded on the basis of a demonstrated financial need.
Work-Study: Providing work opportunities for continuing students which are paid, part-time, and on-campus.
Government Student Loans and Grants: (Full-time or part-time students) BC and non-BC residents enrolled in eligible programs can apply to a variety of government assistance, student loans and grants. International students are not eligible for Canadian government student loans and grants. US Citizens may be eligible for US government student loans.
Former Youth in Care –Tuition Waiver Programs: Students who are living or have previously lived as a youth in care in BC may qualify for financial support to cover some of the costs of their education.
